ART(ISTS )& ACTIVISM AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE
THIS IS THE ALTERNATIVE FOR ABOUT US; THE PROJECT “CIRLCES ON THE WATER” CAN BEST BE EXPLAINED AS AN ANSWER TO INSOMNIA. WHEN THE COPENHAGEN SUMMIT 2009 DIDN’T FAIL TO DISAPPOINT, THE CORAL REEFS WERE PREDICTED TO BE ECOSYSTEMS FADING INTO HISTORY AND OUR KNOWLEDGE OF CARBON EMISSIONS STILL ALLOWED OUR RAINFORESTS TO BE SLASHED DOWN IN MEASUREMENTS OF SOCCER-FIELDS PER SECOND, IT GOBBLED UP THE LAST FEW HOURS OF AN INSOMNIAC. YOU MIGHT WANT TO FIGHT THIS LOGIC, BUT THERE’S NO SENSE IN BEING COOL, IF BEING COOL MEANS ANYTHING, WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO BREATH.
In short: Circles On The Water is a CLIMATE CHANGE PROJECT, hoping to produce a little ripple effect and inspire you to reduce your carbon footprint through conversations with musicians and environmentally active NGO’s.
Initially the project was to be limited by analog boundaries; the publication of the upcoming CirclesOTW book where 25 artists and 20 environmentally active NGO’s shared their common interest in fighting our planet’s greatest challenge. While their approach to activism might differ, their concern for our planet doesn’t.
